Robert Smith is an experienced multi-facility healthcare executive with a varied background in complex urban, rural and academic health care settings. During his more than 40 year career in the industry he has held CEO and other executive positions of various for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals and multi-market publicly traded health care organizations, where he demonstrated the ability to turnaround, create, and grow business units in complex and competitive environments.

Mr. Smith’s broad business background includes reorganization, restructuring and public company experience at the CEO and Board of Directors levels. Mr. Smith is an advisor to and has served on the boards of a broad range of health related entities, and is currently on the board of the Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation, and is chairman of the board of MobileSmith (MOST-OTC). He is the 2011 recipient of the Texas Hospital Association’s Earl N. Collier Award for Distinguished Health Care Administration. Mr. Smith received his Master of Health Administration Degree from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO., and his Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Missouri in St. Louis, MO.
